DRIVING fans can try out a new racing car experience in Salisbury on Saturday.
Ultimate Race Car Experience (URCE), a cutting edge motor sport simulator facility, will be launched on Saturday with supercar and Scania trucks on display, a hog roast and a race off to raise money for Salisbury District Hospital’s Stars Appeal.
The event is being held at the firm’s Old Sarum base in Lancaster Road from 10am to 4pm, when people will get the chance to try out full motion simulators and race tracks from around the world as well as watching a remapping demonstration – putting a tractor through its paces on a mobile dynamo meter machine – and a race off with special guests Matthew Hammond, local Mini Challenge driver, and Damani Marcano, a Junior Race Kart driver.
There will also be a live outside broadcast from Spire FM.
Mark Lush, director at URCE, said: “The technology is incredibly advanced and we have seven of only nine of these simulators to be found in the UK.”
URCE uses up-to-the-minute graphics and super responsive electronic actuators to an immersive racing experience. For more information go to ultimaterce.com.
