A PLANNING application has been submitted for Tisbury Community Campus.

The proposed campus development off Weaveland Road would make use of the existing council buildings on the site in conjunction with new build areas to house various council and community services.

The services include a library, leisure centre, youth service, motorcycle workshop, Fledglings Pre-School, SureStart children’s centre and start-up units.

The new sports hall building would replace the existing leisure centre on the site, due to be demolished as part of the proposals.

The majority of the facilities and services offered would be within the refurbished and remodelled Nadder Hall, SureStart centre and currently unoccupied Nadder Middle School buildings.

These buildings would be linked to provide a single point access facility where all services can be reached from inside the building.

The new sports hall would be connected to the rear of the main campus facility and access into the hall would be from inside the main campus building.

If the application is approved, contractors could be on site later this year.
