A MAN has been sent to prison for having child porn images on his phone.
Graham Anthony David Crowther, 27, of Endless Street, Salisbury, pleaded guilty to making and possessing indecent images of children and was sentenced to nine months in prison at Salisbury Crown Court on Friday.
On sentencing, Judge William Ashworth said that “the trade and exchange of indecent images perpetuated the continued abuse of these children”.
DC Cat Isaac from Salisbury CID investigated the offences. Speaking after sentencing, she said: “I would like to reiterate the judge’s comment that possession and exchange of child abuse images continues the exploitation of vulnerable children.
"We encourage anyone who has information regarding child abuse to contact us, together with our partners we will take action to put offenders before the courts and help prevent further harm to children.”
