TEDDY bears and coconuts flew through the air, bakers showed of their wares, and happy winners claimed their prizes at Wilton Parish Church summer festival at the weekend.

Children and adults made parachutes to help their bears float to the ground in the teddy bear parachute drop, and there was a variety of stalls as well as face-painting, a hoopla, coconut shy, barbecue and tombola.

And the Great Bake Off invited the town’s cooks to show what they were made of.

Also taking place was a fun dog show, and inside the church were performances from local musicians and a special services celebrating marriage.
