New almshouse opens in Salisbury
SALISBURY City Almshouse and Welfare charities are celebrating the opening of their latest house in the area.
The new Robert Stokes House at Brickett’s Hospital was officially opened with a party on Thursday.
The charities have a long history in the city and manage 11 almshouse sites where residents can continue to live independent lives but with the reassurance of a warden on site 24 hours a day.
