THE sun shone and the fun was all around at Winterbourne Fete at the weekend.
Organisers say the event, which included arena events, floats, stalls and games and activities of all sorts was “a roaring success”.
Committee member David Baker said: “It went extremely well. The weather was obviously in our favour, and we would like to say a big thank you to everyone involved in making it such a success.”
The procession began outside the Defence CBRN Centre in Winterbourne Gunner and made its way to the Glebe Field in Winterbourne Earls, with carnival prince and princess Zac Jones and Anna Boucher arriving in style in a vintage car The fete raised about £3,600 for St Mary’s and St Michael’s churches.
