A SUMMER book fair being held at the United Reformed Church in Salisbury next weekend may be the final one after more than 20 years.

Organiser David Lilley, who is retiring, said: “Our numbers are getting smaller and our helpers are all getting older, and there isn’t quite the business for books now as there was a few years back.”

The sale, in aid of education charity Feed the Minds, takes place from 5pm to 8pm next Thursday, July 12 and from 10am to 4pm next Friday and Saturday, July 11 and 12.

The charity runs grassroots education projects in some of the world’s poorest communities, to help save lives and reduce poverty.

Rather than individually pricing the books, organisers will be asking for donations to raise as much money as possible for the charity.
