SALISBURY Hospice has reopened after a major refurbishment project.
Hospice and hospital staff joined Lady Pembroke as she unveiled a plaque to officially reopen the hospice.
The refurbishment was made possible through £528,000 in funding from Help for Hospices and the Department of Health.
The improvement work includes the redesign of the outpatient and inpatient areas, main reception and waiting rooms to give a more comforting and sensitive environment for patients and their families.
Five of the 10 single rooms now have en suite bathrooms.
There is an open reception area with seating where visitors can wait in comfort, and new artwork including photographs of the hospice’s wildlife garden.
