CHILDREN from Pitton Primary are celebrating a silver medal haul after competing in the Wiltshire School Games.
The event was held at Marlborough College last Wednesday and Pitton Primary qualified to compete in hockey and orienteering.
Emma Wilkinson from the school said: “We are extremely proud of the pupils. They showed excellent team spirit when competing against schools from all around Wiltshire, who in some cases had four times the number of pupils in their schools as we do.”
The teams from Pitton came second in both their events and were awarded their silver medals by Olympic gold and bronze medallist David Hemery.
They also met and had their photo taken with Tom Reed, who will be representing Britain in judo at the Commonwealth Games later this month.
The children were inspired and are hoping to get gold next year.
