Takeaway plan for Market Place

First published in News by

CHINESE takeaway chain Hotcha has announced it hopes to open a new takeaway in Salisbury as part of its national expansion programme.

Hotcha, which offers collection or delivery, was founded two years ago by entrepreneur James Liang and is seeking experienced franchisees and fast food managers to run the franchise operation in the Market Place.

ANOTHER takeaway???????!!!!!
!!!!!!!!! Really!!! I really hope this is not allowed as there are already far too many takeaways in Salisbury. Its all coffee shops and eateries, with hardly anywhere to actually shop. All good for the night trade but rubbish for potential visitors to our city in the day time. We need to be bringing in 'proper' shops that will bring people to Salisbury, not more takeaways!!!

I have to agree. We really don't need yet another food outlet in Salisbury City Centre.

Are we allowed to call them Chinese takeaways?
After all, we are not allowed to call the Chinese paving slabs in the former market square Chinese. According to one local councillor it is racist.
I like Chinese, sorry, oriental food so bring it on.

I must be getting old as I read it that the Market Square was going to be taken away.

I thought Wiltshire had found a way of selling it off or getting rid of it, like most things in Salisbury.

They have increased the number of police stations, though, having gone from one to two, plus two others outside of the city.

Well done Wilts.
