A STEAM gala is taking place in Salisbury on August 2.
The Sarum Steam and Classic Transport Gala at Salisbury Rugby Club will be opened by mayor Jo Broom.
Over the two day event there will be lots to see and do including amusement rides, arts and crafts stalls, country market stalls, trade stands, exhibitions of static steam driven vehicles, classic cars, motorbikes and commercials alongside a model railway exhibit in the club house.
There will also be demonstrations of model engineering workmanship aimed at encouraging young people to take up engineering and vehicle restoration.
The event, which received funding from Salisbury City Council, is hosted by the Sarum Model Traction Engine Club and it opens at 10.30am until 4pm, with free admission.
