A SERIES of tours aiming to give residents and visitors a better understanding of Salisbury’s history, geography and architecture will take place in September.
Salisbury Civic Society will run 18 tours over the three days from September 11 to 13, led by professional city guides.
They will focus on hotels and inns and their historic Chequers – the Antelope, Cross Keys and White Hart.
The society has been given £275 by Wiltshire Council’s Salisbury area board towards the cost of the project and details of the tours will be advertised in the library and tourist information centre as well as on the society’s website.
