SCOUTS have been given a grant to move the entrance to their headquarters because people parking their cars keep blocking it.
The Salisbury & South Wilts District Scout Council will receive £1,271 towards the cost of the work at the junction of Kingsland Road and Westminster Road.
Councillors heard on Thursday that the Scouts will also need a new barrier at the entrance to stop unauthorised drivers using their car park and keep youngsters safe.
Parking in the area is at such a premium that every available space is taken, Wiltshire Council’s Salisbury area board hard.
The parked cars reduce visibility at the junction and make it difficult for the Scouts to get their minibus in and out.
