Appeal over Coombe Road planning application
PLANS to build a house in Harnham are going before a planning inspector.
Anthony Lovatt-Williams is appealing against Wiltshire Council’s decision to refuse permission for a new house in Coombe Road.
The site is a triangular plot of land of about 330 sqm and the application is for outline planning permission for a three-bedroom house.
Wiltshire Council refused to grant planning permission on the grounds of the size and shape of the site, protected trees and the possibility of overlooking and overshadowing neighbours.
Mr Lovatt-Williams says the proposal responds positively to the constraints of the site, sets the house back from the boundary, leaves at least a 10m gap between the house and the root protection area of the protected trees and neighbours would not be unduly affected.
The appeal will be decided on the basis of written representations from both parties.
