BUILDING work has started on the new community campus for Salisbury at Five Rivers leisure centre.
The first phase involves refurbishing the conference suite to create a dry changing area, and work on the sports hall roof.
Contractors Rydon Construction will do “everything possible to minimise disruption”, Wiltshire Council says.
Next month will see the beginning of work on an extension and refurbishment of the gym and dance studio.
The project, intended to provide space for several community services and the police under one roof, is due to be finished by autumn next year.
