A SALISBURY entrepreneur with an extreme fear of heights is taking on a 15,000ft skydive for local charity, CCS Adoption.

Phil Brumfitt, 59, decided to do the jump after finding out that the charity planned on doing 110 challenges for their 110th year anniversary.

Mr Brumfitt said: “I have always had a phobia of heights, and physically get the shakes when climbing a 6ft stepladder, so the decision to jump out of a plane at 15,000ft was either a very brave one, or one of utter madness.

“I wanted to do something that I know would make raise awareness of the need to find more adopters for the 6,500 currently waiting for new homes.”

CCS Adoption is the local children’s adoption charity for the south-west and has been finding homes for children who need them across the region for 110 years.
