THE Pantry Partnership will be holding a Big Dig to mark their new collaboration with Brickworth Farmhouse on September 20. This new alliance will see the start of a community sharing garden near Whiteparish. The land for the garden has been offered by Brickworth Farmhouse and will be managed under the guidance of head gardener Josh Giles who was joint winner in the BBC programme, The Big Allotment Challenge.

To get the project underway the team, along with members of the local community, will be digging up a square of the land.

The Pantry Partnership, a social enterprise that uses surplus food to provide meals for people at risk from food poverty, will be growing seasonal vegetables with some more unusual varieties and old favourites like fruit trees, on the land.

The plot will be turned into a space that the local community can enjoy and get involved in.
