VOLUNTARY and community organisations are being invited to The Guildhall on Wednesday for the Big Community Action Day.
Organised by Wessex Community Action, Salisbury City Council, Salisbury Arts Centre and St. Thomas’s Church, the event is free to attend and runs from 10am to 4pm.
On offer will be the chance to sign up for bite-sized sessions that offer advice and guidance on volunteer management, social media, working with young people and how to get a balanced trustee board.
There will also be a free lunch for those attending and the keynote speaker this year is Reverend David Linaker from St Thomas’s Church.
Members of the public can attend between 12.30 to 1.45pm to discuss volunteering opportunities with a range of local voluntary groups.
