CHILDREN at Harnham Infant School took part in the Great African Welly Walk on Monday raising around £200 for charity.
The sponsored activity, which is part of the school’s harvest celebrations, raised funds for Farm Africa, a charity that provides smallholders in eastern Africa with tools and the expertise to help increase their harvests.
The charity’s Give Hunger the Boot campaign aims to see fundraisers walk the same distance as the entre coastline of Africa.
The children started their walk in the school’s sensory garden.
