THE Royal Navy has selected South Wiltshire University Technical College (UTC) to be one of the first four UTCs across the country to become an Affiliated Royal Navy institution.
The partnership will become a long-term strategic relationship with the Navy, providing specialist engineering expertise, student projects, guest lecturers, support for the UTC’s Combined Cadet Force and mentoring support for its staff.
Admiral Sir George Zambellas, First Sea Lord, said: “From the leading- edge scientific hub at Porton Down to the technology companies clustered along its section of England’s Silicon Valley, Wiltshire is of strategic value to the nation.”
Applications are now being accepted for Year 10 and Year 12 places starting from September 2015. For more information visit wiltshire-utc.co.uk.
