1st ARTILLERY Brigade, which takes over the regional responsibilities for the South West from 43 (Wessex) Brigade next January, raised its flag at the Home of the Royal Artillery in Larkhill in a ceremony recently.
Established under Army 2020, the HQ will initially take command of six regular and three reserve artillery and Central Volunteer HQ RA.
The Bde, under the command of Brigadier Jez Bennett, will have a badge featuring a white ram, as the first sign of the Zodiac, on a red field, which has been used as the emblem of HQ 1 AGRA since it was formed in September 1942.
