AT the end of this month Troopers Alan Berkeley and Tom Pike from Tidworth-based The King’s Royal Hussars are taking part in the Great South Run followed by a 100km trek across the Sahara Desert to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
They are taking part in the Great South Run, a half marathon, dressed as camels on October 26.
From November 2-9 they will cross the Sahara Desert in a 100km trek with scorching temperatures of 30-50 degrees. To support them and the work of Marie Curie Cancer Care, go to justgiving.com/TeamHussar/ or text donate by texting HUSS47 to 70070 for donations up to £10.
