A SWAN was kicked to death and another injured with a catapult in two separate incidents, police believe.
The first swan was found dead in Lower Bemerton on November 16 between 12.30pm and 1pm.
A witness reported seeing a group of young people kicking the swan at around 8am that day.
The second swan was rescued from the city centre by Creatures in Crisis after being shot with a large ball bearing, believed to have been fired from a catapult, causing injury to its beak.
The swan has been treated by a vet and is recovering well.
Police would like to speak with anyone who witnessed either incident.
