SALISBURY NHS Foundation Trust has been recognised for the support it offers to its employees in the reserve forces.

The trust was presented with a silver award under the Government’s Employer Recognition Scheme.

Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust has demonstrated its support by going ‘above and beyond to provide for the security and support of its reservist employees’ for example by providing them with extra time off for training and collaborating in their mobilisation for long-term commitments.

Director of human resources and organisation development at Salisbury District Hospital Alison Kingscott said: “We have a strong military presence here in Salisbury and the surrounding area and a proud history and tradition of support for our armed forces.

“We are delighted with this award which reflects our commitment in this area and want to thank the Wessex Reserve Forces and Cadets Association for their recognition of the work that we do here to support them and military personnel.”
