STAFF from a Salisbury supermarket have been busy delivering presents donated by customers to children in hospital.

A group from Sainsbury’s visited the children’s ward at Salisbury District Hospital on Wednesday.

They also delivered gifts to the John McNeill Opportunity Centre.

Over the past couple of weeks supermarket staff have also visited retirement homes in the city with mince pies and mulled wine while others sang carols at schools and homeless shelters.

A Tombola of items donated by customers in a trolley at the front of the store helped raise £500 for Salisbury Hospice.

And children at Manor Fields Primary School designed a Christmas card for staff to be given at Christmas. The winning card was designed by Mia Bray.
