YEAR 9 pupils at Leehurst Swan School paid a visit to the Great War exhibition at Salisbury Museum.

They started with a workshop identifying objects from both warfare and the Home Front.

The pupils proved “alarmingly adept” at identifying homemade bombs, shrapnel, grenades and plaques to commemorate the dead but a humble sandbag proved very difficult.
