OUTDOOR lovers have until midnight on Friday, March 6 to take advantage of Wiltshire Wildlife Trust’s discounted entry for the Sarsen Trail and Neolithic Marathon.
The Sarsen Trail – on Sunday, May 3 – is the trust’s major annual fundraiser and has increased in popularity year-on-year since it was established almost 30 years ago.
For a leisurely day, there is a variety of walks.
Participants can choose from a family stroll of seven miles to the ultra walk of 26 miles.
For runners, there are the full and half marathons and cyclists have the opportunity to explore one of the two bike routes around Salisbury Plain.
Event organiser Derek Gard said: “Bookings are up on last year, which is fantastic news, but we have room for more.
“The Sarsen Trail is not only the major fundraiser for the trust, it is the only day of the year when the MoD opens areas of the plain which are usually closed to the public, for people to walk, run or bike across it.”
