RADIO and TV broadcaster Sir Terry Wogan is currently in Salisbury being filmed for a new television show.
The popular presenter is chatting to market traders in the city for a show believed to be based on regional food.
Rebecca Forder who runs the Alre Watercress stall said: “We spoke to him about watercress and where we come from - all the products that we do that are based on watercress.
“He was friendly and nice to talk to - listening to what we had to say.
“We knew he was coming but thought it was actually next week!”
Anne Theron who runs the CD stall said she would be playing some Irish music in his honour.
“I thought it was a joke when a friend said they had seen Terry Wogan but he is here – I’ll have to quickly put some eye shadow on and play some Irish music for him.”
