A 17-YEAR-OLD woman was assaulted yesterday morning after she walked through a city underpass.

The teenager was walking through the underpass on St Ann's Street, Salisbury, at around 8.45am, when she was approached by three men.

The men, thought to be aged between 19 and 20-years-old, verbally abused her before one of them grabbed her by the waist. The woman was able to break free and run away.

One of the men is described as being over 6ft tall, of skinny build and was clean shaven with brown hair which was short at the back and sides, but longer on top. He had a stud earring in his right ear and was wearing a brown and black parka coat with a fluffy hood and skinny jeans.

The second man is described as being approximately 5ft 9 ins tall, of medium build. He was wearing a burgundy zip-up hooded top, with the hood up. The top had white tassels.

The third man is believed to be approximately 5ft 4 ins tall.

Wiltshire Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact them immediately.

PC James Osment, of Amesbury police station, said: "I would like to hear from anyone who may have seen these three men that morning. I would also like to speak to a woman with a pushchair who was in the underpass just before the assault and may have seen the three males."
