THE nation’s biggest animal charity, Support Adoption for Pets, is appealing for people to make their pets smile as part of a fundraising drive to raise half a million pounds for local animal charities.
It comes after residents in Salisbury raised over £2,000 for the charity’s Santa Paws campaign.
The new fundraising appeal, #MakesMeSmile, launched last week and pet lovers can get involved by downloading cut-out smiles from the Support Adoption For Pets website, before sharing the image of their pet online.
With a suggested donation of £1 for each smile, the charity is aiming to get 500,000 pets smiling nationally, raising £500,000.
The #MakesMeSmile Spring fundraiser will also include a raffle in Salisbury Pets at Home store, for customers to have the chance to win a new car. Pets at Home vouchers will also be up for grabs as part of a children’s colouring competition and for the best smiling pets posted on Facebook.
