AN attempted robbery in Bishopdown Farm was foiled this morning when shop attendant refused a criminal entry to a One Stop store.
The incident happened just before 7am when a woman who was just about to start work was grabbed from behind by a man who demanded access to the shop.
When the woman broke away and refused to meet his demands, the suspect ran off in the direction of St Clement’s Road. He is described as between 30 and 40, heavy set and wearing a black hooded coat, and trousers.
The One Stop store was shut throughout the morning was Police forensics teams investigated.
Detectives would like to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard anything between 0630 and 0700hrs or who may have information as to who this man is.
