PULPILS in Year 3 at Leehurst Swan enjoyed a day out at Salisbury Museum during their special Living History fortnight.
The day was filled with lots of hands on activities during the morning which included learning how to hunt for food, make fire, grind wheat into flour, make rope, turn natural materials and plants into paint and how to spin and weave with wool.
After a picnic lunch in the museum’s grounds, the afternoon was spent in the new Wessex Gallery.
The children have been studying The Stone Age in their history lessons and had the opportunity to see original artefacts and to learn more information about that period of time.
