THE action plan put in place by Pembroke Park Primary after its 'Inadequate' Ofsted inspection in February is "fit for purpose".
It is after the first monitoring inspection by the schools watchdog which found the academy had “taken purposeful action to begin to tackle the weaknesses identified in the recent inspection report”.
Actions already taken include restructuring the leadership team to include an assistant head and to revise job descriptions for management.
They also found the school had a "clear direction for improvement” and a "better knowledge of where weaknesses are”.
Ofsted were also pleased to see that “targets for pupils’ achievement at the end of Year 2 and Year 6 are ambitious for pupils capable of achieving the higher levels in English and Mathematics”.
Matt Sambrook, principal of Pembroke Park, said he was pleased with the progress made by the school.
