A 21-YEAR-OLD pedestrian was injured when a motorbike crashed into him in Lower Bemerton

The hit-and-run left the victim with cuts and bruises to his head, face and arms.

The victim, who is a local man, was walking along the side of Lower Road towrads Netherhampton from Salisbury at about 3am on August 13 when he was hit from behind. 

He saw two men with a motorcycle lying on the ground, however when challenged, was subject to a further altercation, before they made off on foot in the direction of Wilton Road.

A red and white off-road motorcycle was recovered at the scene. 

PC Steve Allen from Amesbury said: "The victim attended hospital for assessment and was fortunate to have not suffered any serious injuries. He will likely make a full recovery.

"We would like to speak with the two males involved in the incident, or anyone who may be able to offer any information as to the identity of the males, or relating to the red and white motorcycle."

Both men are described as white. One was wearing an open faced trials style helmet, a light blue hooded top and dark jeans. The second man had short hair and was wearing a dark tracksuit.
