FOUR men have been banned from a city centre housing estate for two years after subjecting residents to months of antisocial behaviour.

Salisbury County Court banned Danny Dyer, 26, Aaron Fernando, 26, James Stockwell, 21, and Jamie Barney, 32, from The Friary on September 22.

The court heard residents had complained of drunken and intimidating behaviour, urination in public and excessive noise which continued throughout the summer.

The men face arrest if they break the order, which followed an investigation by Wiltshire Council and Wiltshire Police.

Maggie Rae, Wiltshire Council corporate director, said: “After some really positive work with our partners we developed our Alcohol Strategy 2014-18, which sets out how we will tackle alcohol-related harm in the county and the antisocial behaviour associated with it.

“These injunctions show that we won’t stand by while people suffer because of the antisocial behaviour of others. We will continue to work with our partners to do everything we can.”

Inspector Dave Minty said: 'The community should not have to put up with intimidating and anti social behaviour and I am pleased that my team have worked effectively with colleagues in Wiltshire Council to put these injunctions in place."
