THOUSANDS flocked to Salisbury to watch the Christmas lights illuminate the city centre last night.
There were no fireworks this year - instead there was a posh light show, with video graphics beamed onto buildings in the Market Place and Blue Boar Row.
Fake snow fell on the crowd as EastEnders star Jake wood, who plays Max Branning, switched on the lights.
The event, organsied by Salisbury City Council and hosted by Spire FM's Martin Starke and Pat Sissons, got mixed reviews on Facebook.
Lewis Jefferies said it was "Amazing!" and posted a selfie with Jake Wood, while Jo Rogers said it was a "brilliant night!"
Others were less enthusiastic. Kirsty Little said it was "rubbish" and she wished she had stayed at home.
And Lezley Glasson-Smith said it "lacked atmosphere".
She said: "We go as a family and have done for many years. Normally we leave feeling excited and enthusiastic for Christmas... this year we left feeling extremely disappointed."
Whatever you thought of last night's display, at least this didn't happen again...
