A HOSPICE which has cared for more than 100 of Wiltshire's children will hold a special service at Salisbury Cathedral.

Naomi House & Jacksplace is to host a Light up a Life service on Tuesday, December 8 to allow the public the chance to remember a loved one at Christmas.

People are also invited to light a candle in memory, or make a dedication in the charity’s book of memories.

It will be first year the ceremony has been held in Salisbury after being previously hosted by Winchester Cathedral.

The service features festive music, carols, personal stories and readings.

Mark Smith, Chief Executive of Naomi House & Jacksplace said: “We all have people that we wish were still with us at Christmas, and taking a moment to get together and reflect on the wonderful moments we have spent with special people is a really positive thing to do.”

Money raised at the event will help to fund the high quality and comprehensive hospice service that Naomi House offers to Wiltshire’s life-limited and life-threatened children, young adults and their families.
