PEOPLE across the country are going to polling stations today as they vote on the UK’s future membership of the European Union.
In Wiltshire the votes will be counted overnight once the polls close at 10pm.
Four venues across the county will be hosting a count with ballot boxes locally being sent to Five Rivers Leisure Centre.
However, once all the Salisbury votes are counted the numbers for Remain and Leave will be sent to Chippenham where they will be announced as part of a Wiltshire-wide result. A declaration is not expected before 5am.
In total there are around 365,000 electors in Wiltshire including 75,000 postal voters. There will also be 850 polling staff working through the county and 450 count staff based at the four locations.
Today there will be more than 350 polling stations open throughout Wiltshire. The polls will be open from 7am-10pm.
