A WOMAN has denied grabbing a man by the throat in an alleged road rage.
Georgina Jones, 39, of Beamont Way, Amesbury, pleaded not guilty to assaulting Liam Phillips.
Salisbury Magistrates Court heard on Friday that Miss Jones had an altercation with Mr Phillips over who was in the correct lane as they both drove on Castle Roundabout, Salisbury.
Prosecuting, Vyvyan Thatcher said Miss Jones got out of her car near Waitrose and approached Mr Phillips, leaned in the window and grabbed him around the neck.
Defending, Bob Scott said Miss Jones had simply been defending herself. She will stand summary trial at Chippenham Magistrates Court on October 19.
