ANYONE reading a list of “useful” telephone numbers recently distributed by aspiring MP Paul Sample may be somewhat surprised to find one for an unnamed website designer and another for a graphic designer.

The 2017 calendar which comes with a list of contact numbers on the back has been distributed courtesy of “Paul Sample and The Liberal Democrats”.

The numbers include the emergency services, Wiltshire Council departments and important local facilities such as the arts centre, city council, leisure centre, Guildhall and library.

However, among them is one for a graphic designer, with no company name given, and further down the list the same number appears, only this time for an anonymous website designer.

A quick online check shows the number belongs to The Mustard Agency, of which Mr Sample is registered as a director and secretary.

The former leader of the now-defunct Salisbury District Council declined to comment, but said he had paid for the printing of the leaflets himself.

A footnote on the flyer says it has been published “on behalf of the Liberal Democrats”.
