THE Chilmark Duck Race went swimmingly at the weekend.
The event, organised by the Chilmark Playground Management Committee, took place on Saturday afternoon.
One of the organisers, Sarah Miller, said: “It was good fun, and surprisingly there was more adults than children.
“It was a lovely day and beautiful weather.
“We had to make sure the water levels were high enough, but it rained last week.”
Sofya Pattenden came first with 10-year-old Milly Corbin coming second and five-year-old Amelia Murray-Jones in third place.
The event raised £282 in aid of the playground.
