CRIMINAL damage estimated to be more than £5,000 was caused to new houses on the Kings Gate estate in Amesbury.
Police say the offenders gained entry overnight on Wednesday (April 26) and caused extensive damage by smashing windows, doors, kitchen units, light fittings, sockets, walls, metal frameworks and fire extinguishers along with offensive graffiti scrawled on walls.
PC Richard Chula said: "This is senseless damage estimated at over £5000, it may well have been caused by more than one person.
"I would like to hear from anyone who saw any activity within the new section of the housing estate after close of business on Wednesday."
Anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area please contact PC Chula at Amesbury Police Station on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where details may be left anonymously.
