COUNCILLOR Peter Edge has been elected as the new mayor of Wilton.
He said: "It is a great honour and privilege."
Cllr Edge was previously mayor 28 years ago in 1989.
A special mayor making ceremony was held on Tuesday.
Mr Edge takes on the role from Cllr Trevor Batchelder.
He added: "There are lots of exciting projects happening in Wilton . I'm keen to promote youth and sports facilities in Wilton and am very keen to get the British Cycling Race back in the town."
The deputy mayor is Cllr Ivan Seviour.
