A 16-YEAR-OLD boy has been arrested after three women were indecently assaulted or flashed in the city centre. 

The boy, who is from the local area, has been held on suspicion of three counts of indecent exposure and three counts of sexual assault.

On June 13 at approximately 2.45pm a 24-year-old woman was indecently assaulted while walking through the underpass from James Hay towards Waitrose.

On June 12, a male exposed himself to a 45-year-old woman near St Mark’s roundabout.

And between 6.35pm and 6.45pm on Sunday a woman aged in her 40s was on the cycle track between Stratford Sub Castle and the leisure centre when a male asked her for directions before attempting to pull on her trousers.

The woman, who was carrying a walking stick, hit the man several times until he walked away towards the leisure centre. When he was some distance away, he exposed himself.

The suspect has been taken to custody in Melksham.
