THE community of Salisbury has come together to celebrate Armed Forces Day today (Saturday, June 24).
The event, which has been organised by Salisbury City Council, is being held at Queen Elizabeth Gardens and runs until 4pm.
Representatives from the military, including the Army, RAF and Royal Military Police, and military charities are in attendance.
Visitors can enjoy the different military displays on show as well as free children's workshops, fair rides, street food, games and more.

There was also live music from acts including the Salisbury Band of the Royal British Legion, pictured below, Tuba-Libres and more.
In his opening speech, the Mayor of Salisbury, Cllr John Lindley, said: "Today is celebration of our armed forces past, present and future. Veterans, serving personnel and cadets are in our park raising awareness of the importance of our armed forces here in the UK and particularly here in Salisbury. I look at the armed forces as an important part of community and our local economy and this event today is great way to thank them for all they do."
