POLICE are appealing for help to identify a man they would like to speak to in connection with the theft of a bottle of vodka.
The incident took place shortly before 11pm, on August 10, at the Tesco Metro in Castle Street, Salisbury.
The man entered the shop and took a bottle of vodka before leaving the supermarket without making paying for it.
A spokesman for Wiltshire Police said: “The suspect was chased by a security officer but managed to get away in the direction of Salt Lane car park.”
Yesterday (Thursday) officers release CCTV of a man they would like to speak to in relation of the offence.
The spokesman added: “If you recognise this man, heard or saw anything suspicious in this area at this time or can help with our enquiries in anyway, please contact PC Martyn Powell on 101 or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.”
