A 17-YEAR-OLD boy was the victim of a "nasty" unprovoked attack in Salisbury.
Police say at about 12.40am on Sunday, September 3, the victim and a woman were walking along Castle Road in Salisbury, when a group of males aged between 14 and 16, came out of Victoria Park and began following the pair.
In an unprovoked attack, the 17-year-old was pushed to the ground and kicked several times by members of the group.
He sustained injuries to his nose and ear.
PC Gary Underwood said: "A member of the public stopped their vehicle around 10 metres from the group and shouted at them to stop. The group then ran off along Castle Road towards Hudson Field.
"We'd really like to speak to this person or anyone who may have seen the incident unfold - this was a nasty, unprovoked attack on this man and we are really keen to find those responsible."
Anyone with information should call police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
