SALISBURY Arts Centre's Family Fiesta made a splash at the weekend with a variety of sea-themed activities.

The event on Saturday featured a variety of free performances, tours and workshops, from pottery and animation, circus skills and cake decorating to drama and dance.

Melanie Evans, Salisbury Arts Centre's programme manager, said: "Salisbury Arts Centre’s annual and popular Family Fiesta was a great success with approximately 500 people taking part in creative experiences throughout the afternoon."

The day also included a visit from Circo Rum Ba Ba’s 18m long whale with performances taking place inside its tummy as well as entertainment from the world’s first cycling theatre company, The HandleBards, performing As You Like It.

Melanie added: "We were delighted to see so many new faces at the arts centre and look forward to seeing everyone again very soon."
