TWO men from London have been arrested on suspicion of dealing drugs on the streets of Salisbury.

Following tip-offs Wiltshire Police stopped the men yesterday morning (Thursday) in Exeter Street before carrying out a search of the pair.

A quantity of class A drugs and several mobile phones were seized and the men, aged 21 and 22, were arrested.

Inspector Pete Sparrow said: “Salisbury does not welcome County Line drug networks and will continue to take a robust approach to any that wish to come here to exploit the vulnerable to feed their own greed.

“The tendrils of this class A drug abuse create a much wider picture of violence and crime and we thank our community for supporting our efforts to combat this problem.”

Anyone with information regarding the supply of drugs should call 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
