RUNNERS and walkers of all ages descended on the village of Lover for the 5k family run.
About 500 took part in the Lover 5k 2018 on Sunday, which is run by the Lover Community Trust.
Some participants were as young as five.
A spokesman for the trust said: “It’s a great family 5k and we encourage as many people to run with someone they love next year.”
The trust also runs the Lover Valentine Post and the village’s very own cupids have been busy making sure the special cards were delivered on time for Valentine’s Day.
A pop-up post office was set up in the Old School Building.
In 2017, the Lover Valentine Post delivered cards to 24 different countries.
This year it hopes to reach even the most remote places in the world. It has been in contact with the Halley VI research station in the Antarctic.
